Red Ribbon Spirit Week – October 27-31

National Red Ribbon Week is a way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against substance abuse.  Students and teachers at Allison will be showing their personal commitment to a drug-free and tobacco-free lifestyle through celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 27-31.

Monday, October 27:  Red Shirt Day – “Red Ribbon Week Kick Off”
Students may wear a red shirt, tucked in with a belt, to celebrate Red Ribbon Week kick off.  All shirts that are non-uniform must follow dress down requirements of no inappropriate language, pictures and no hoodies. If students pay $1 to their first hour teacher, they may also wear jeans (with a belt) with their red shirt.  The money will be donated toward the city’s Turkey Drive for next month.

Tuesday, October 28:  Crazy Sock Day – “Being Drug-Free Knocks Our Socks Off”
Students may wear mismatched and multi-colored socks with their regular school uniforms.

Wednesday, October 29:  Blue & Gold Spirit Day - “Keep Your Spirit Off of Drugs”
Students may wear a blue and/or yellow/gold shirt of their choice, tucked in to uniform pants with a belt. All shirts that are non-uniform must follow dress down requirements of no inappropriate language, pictures and no hoodies.

Thursday, October 30:  Hat Day - “Put a Cap On Drugs”
Students will wear a hat of their choice with their regular school uniform.  No wigs.

Friday, October 31: Wear Orange Day Orange You Glad You Are Drug and Tobacco Free?” Students may wear orange shirts, the brighter the better.  All shirts that are non-uniform must follow dress down requirements of no inappropriate language, pictures and no hoodies.  Shirts should be predominately orange and must be tucked in with uniform pants and a belt.

Any student not participating in Red Ribbon Week should be in full uniform.
